Somali refugee family coming to Slocan Valley

A Somali refugee family living in Kenya will soon make New Denver their home.

Eleanor Spengler with the Slocan Valley Refugee Coalition says they got word last week.

The family will be provided with a house in New Denver and living expenses for a year.

Spengler expects they’ll receive a warm welcome.

They’ll arrive sometime in the fall.
