An old pick up truck will soon be transformed into a useful tool for Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue.
Deputy Chief Dan Derby says the truck will be converted into a flat deck for wildland firefighting purposes.
It’ll also help with getting equipment to hard to reach rural areas.
The new unit will be stationed at the Warfiled Hall.
