An electric vehicle charging station is up and running in Castlegar.
Public Works Director Chris Barlow says the charger was strategically placed downtown.
The charging station is a level two which means a full charge can take about four hours.
Barlow says this will entice people to visit downtown Castlegar while their car is re-charging.
He adds the city hopes to add more chargers.
