Trail City Council wants to ensure their world-famous hockey team remains in tact for years to come.
Councilor Sandy Santori says last season an audit was completed by the Canada Revenue Agency which led to the club being just over $15,000 in debt.
So Santori and two other city officials met with team officials to figure out a way to help the team.
Council’s decision to help the team was unanimous.
