A local politician is hoping to have a footbridge built at Pass Creek Park.
Rural Castlegar Director Rick Smith says $80,000 has been secured from BC Hydro.
The bridge would link the exhibition grounds on the west side to the campgrounds on the east.
Smith says an exact location hasn’t been decided but it should incorporate an area to view Kokanee spawning.
An additional $120,000 is still required to cover project costs.
