The City Of Castlegar is having a great year in terms of building permits.
The year to date totals indicate 95 permits have been issued since January for a total value of work at just over $16 million.
That’s more than four times last year’s value between January and June.
Councilor Florio Vassilakakis says the new Fortis BC operations centre project is a big reason for the jump in value.
Vassilikakis is happy to see investment in the community.
