Fruitvale man killed in crash

A 26-year-old Fruitvale man has been killed in a crash between a pick-up truck and tractor-trailer.

It happened about 2 p.m. Thursday on Highway 3B at Old Salmo Road.

The pick-up driver died at the scene while the tractor-trailer driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Several agencies are investigating.

The highway was closed for several hours.
