Kootenays to become new wine region

Encouraging news for wineries in our region.

The BC Wine Association has approved a new wine producing area in the province, the Kootenay Appellation.

Bob Johnson is the owner of Baillie-Grohman Estate Winery in the Creston area.

He says the designation makes sense.


The BC government still has to sign off on the designation to make it official.
