A new Fortis BC Operations facility in Castlegar is good news for the local economy.
This from Mayor Lawrence Chernoff who was on hand for yesterday’s groundbreaking ceremony.
Construction is underway at the 10 acre site and set to finish in October 2017.
When complete the facility will be roughly 30,000 square feet.
The site was chosen due to its central location and will contain office and crew space, material storage and a dedicated emergency operations centre.
