A significant milestone in the Washington Street upgrade project in Rossland.
Operations Manager Darrin Albo says blasting is set to begin.
Albo says significant prep work has been undertaken for this portion of work.
There will also be watermain testing and concrete sidewalk removal.
Expect some changes to traffic patterns.
The city is asking pedestrians to avoid using Washington Street if possible.
The $7 million project is scheduled to finish by October 1st.
