Upgrades complete for Selkirk chemistry labs

Chemistry students at Selkirk College in Castlegar will be working in freshly upgraded labs next school year.

This as an $850,000 renovation to bring the two old labs up to current standards has finished.

Arts And Sciences Dean David Feldman says this will mean a much more welcoming environment for staff and students.

The existing labs were well maintained but dated back 50 years to the school’s opening.

Feldman says replacing the old fume hoods was a main focus of the project.
