The BC School Trustees association is urging both sides to get a deal done.
It’s another day of one-day closures in parts of the province on Thursday – including Kootenay Lake and Boundary.
President Teresa Rezansoff says students and parents are already hurting.
She says if they can’t settle this month then they need to negotiate all summer if necessary.
She hopes her message – as a representative of every trustee in the province – will be heard.
Some students walked out of school across the province Wednesday, including in Nelson.
Rezansoff – who is also chair of the Boundary School Board- says students are caught in the middle and should be kept, “out of the mix” as she puts it
