Funding for aboriginal studies at Selkirk

Selkirk College will benefit from a new provincial funding initiative to boost aboriginal studies.

The college will get $75,000 in funds from the provincial government in support of the aboriginal post secondary education and training policy framework.

President and CEO Angus Graeme says this will add to existing programs at the school which support indiginous learners.

14 post secondary institutions across the province will split over $1 million for programs and services that will help ensure a welcome learning environment for aboriginals.
