Mount Sentinel Students return for last day of school

Mount Sentinel School in South Slocan will be open to students Wednesday until noon for the final day of the school year.

The school has been closed since Friday following a serious threat.

Staff returned today.

SD-8 Superintendent Jeff Jones says the goal is to lead toward a normal dismissal and start-up in September, but still acknowledge the incident.

Jones says staff will work with the Grad Committee on planning an event.

Meanwhile, an 18-year old Mount Sentinel student has been charged in connection with the incident.

He’s expected in Nelson court Wednesday.
