Creston chooses firm for fire station project

The Town of Creston has selected a Lower Mainland company for the design development phase of a new fire station.

Johnston Davidson Architecture and Planning will do the public consultation in site selection, schematic design and design development.

Town Manager Lou Varela says 13 companies from across Western Canada responded.

The applicants were scored on a matrix.


Varela says their quote of just over $169, 000 is about $10, 000 less than the amount council had budgeted for.

The project will to begin very soon with a referendum expected in 2017
