Creston Council has given the green light for additional development near the Ramada Inn and Convention Centre.
A public hearing went off without a hitch and the proposed zoning bylaw amendment was unnanimously passed.
This opens the opportunity for the owner to put in a campground and various other amenities.
Mayor Ron Toyota says council supports the venture.
The amended bylaw also allows the owner to put in a gas bar, convenience store, outdoor entertainment options and cold beer and wine store.
