Grizzly warning for Rossland trails

A Grizzly Bear and her two cubs have been spotted multiple times around a popular recreational area in Rossland.

Local WildsafeBC Coordinator Sharon Wieder  is warning people  who use the Neptune Creek area.

She says if people do decide to continue to visit trails like Larch Ridge, Monte Cola & COG she recommends they carry bear spray and travel in large groups but it might be best to recreate elsewhere for now.

Wieder says if anyone has a sighting they should report it to the RAPP line found at the WildsafeBC Rossland/Trail Facebook page.
