Community left to wonder about arsonist's motive

The man who torched two Castlegar churches is going back to jail — but the community is left to wonder about his motive.
A Judge yesterday sentenced 19-year-old Lee Wilding to two years in federal prison followed by three years probation.
He set the Kinnaird Church of God on fire in March almost exactly a year after destroying Saint Rita’s Catholic Church.
Father David John of Saint Rita’s was in the courtroom and wishes Wilding had explained why he did it.
Wilding changed his plea to guilty and apologized for his actions.
The fire at the Kinnaird Church caused between $500,000 and $600,000 damage.
