Case highlights mental wellness shortcomings in BC schools

A local school psychologist whose strong letter to the Premier went viral last week says his stance has highlighted ongoing shortcomings across many areas of mental wellness.
Todd Kettner who works for the Kootenay Lake District vented his frustration after being docked 10 % wages – like all other BCTF employees ..this despite amassing 70-hours unpaid overtime that two week wage period.
He says the debate should focus on things like he science of class size … And employee engagement and well being.
Kettner’s since been told by government he’ll be re-imbursed that docked pay- but he says if he’s the only one getting it back he’d rather it go to the Osprey Foundation Mental Wellness Fund.
