Long term closure of trail on Teck land

A trail on land owned by Teck in the Warfield area will be closed down for the next few years to contain an invasive plant species.

Catherine Adair- Teck’s Community Relations Leader – says there is a new path to use in the area.

This is while the lower section of the Green Door Trail is combed for wild chervil.

Wild chervil is impacting at-risk wildlife such as the Western Skink, North American Racer and Northern Rubber Boa.

The closure takes effect June 13th.
