How would a proposed boundary expansion affect the upcoming Municipal Election in Trail?

It is possible that the process behind the Silver City obtaining the Columbia Gardens Industrial Area in the Beaver Valley could be wrapped up before November’s vote.

If the Province signs off on the move – Corporate Administrator Michelle McIssac says it would change what ballot boxes certain residents would go to.

McIssaac admits that the extension area is mostly industrial property and would affect only a small group of residents.

Trail is currently waiting for feedback from stakeholders in the Columbia Gardens about the proposed expansion and is set to kick off an alternate approval process with its own residents.
