There’s progress in the push to bring a country music festival to the Creston Valley.
Council has endorsed a nomination to host the Coors Banquet “One Horse Town” concert.
Acting Mayor Joe Snopek says company representatives came to Creston to assess the area, and were impressed.

Snopek says the concert, featuring several high-profile country music artists, will not cost taxpayers.
Coors will pick six communities as finalists to enter a round of public voting, which opens on June 6th.
