Greenwood chosen for AGLG audit

A familiar concern is being raised now that another local municipality is falling under the microscope of the Auditor General for Local Government. The AGLG is picking Greenwood in the Boundary among those that have been chosen under the title – “managing the inherent risks of limited human resources within small local governments.”. Mayor Nipper Kettle says he’s worried about the amount of local resources and time the audit will entail.

Rossland also complained about the staff resources taken up by their audit that highlighted serious concerns around their capital procurement processes. Kettle says Greenwood taxpayers get fair value for money from their modest sized staffing.
