Iconic piece of Creston gets makeover

One blossom festival float is getting some local flare.

The Town of Creston has given their float a makeover with the help of local artist Brandy Dyer.

Dyer says she was over the moon when the town approached her with the idea.

The float will be re-branded as the ‘Creston Valley’ float, rather than ‘Town of Creston’.

The reason for the name change is to promote the valley as a whole, not just individual communities.

The town budgeted six thousand dollars for the project.
