Creston’s Mayor says he supports a call for BC municipalities to petition Ottawa for a portion of future revenue from legalized marijuana sales.
However, Ron Toyota says it’s too soon to pinpoint exactly where that money should go.
The resolution, from the Association of Kootenay Boundary Governments, recommends it is funneled down to various programs.
Toyota says he supports the idea but when it comes to the nitty gritty of how it will be administered, that is a long way away.
