Councilor calls for more info on illicit drug use

A Castlegar City Councilor would like to hear from local RCMP about drug use in the area.

Bruno Tassone says the idea comes after hearing of a number of recent first responder calls in regards to instances where illicit drug use was involved.

He adds it could be beneficial to have more information to convey to the public.

Tassone says an RCMP presentation would be great for public awareness.

He adds it would be good to have similar presentations in local schools as well.
