Why offer free admission at the Trail Museum?

Trail’s Historical Society feels if more people visited the current museum they would better understand why a new facility is needed.

That is why there will be free admission to the facility all summer long to encourage residents to check out the ageing building.

President Jamie Forbes says they struggle in the current location to tell the story of the Silver City and its been a goal for the past 15 years to change that.

Residents face a November referendum to decide if they want the City to spend $6.3 million on a new Library/Museum facility.
