Couple okay after 200-foot slide off Blewett Road

Nelson’s Fire Chief is reflecting on a very lucky escape for a couple on the weekend.

Simon Grypma says their car went off Blewett Road and plummeted around 200-feet down the very rocky, steep embankment in the Taghum Hill area.


The car came to rest against a large boulder and tree.

The male driver and female passenger walked away with only minor injuries.

RCMP is investigating the cause.
