Police investigate Rosemont pepper-spray robbery

Nelson Police are investigating a disturbing crime in Rosemont.

Friday night around 9:15, a man and woman used pepper spray to rob Star Grocery – the small convenience store in the neighborhood.

They demanded cash and cigarettes before running off.

The store owner tells the Nelson Star he was sprayed and describes the female suspect as short and heavy.

He says they were wearing black with their faces covered.

Police say there were several witnesses.
