Olympian Clara Hughes visits the Queen City

Six time Olympic Medalist Clara Hughes continues her visit in Nelson on Monday.

 

The Queen City gave a warming welcome to Hughes when she rode in on Baker Street Saturday part of her 110 day 12 thousand kilometer bike across Canada to help rid the stigma against mental health.

Today her and her team will engage students at L.V Rogers.

Hughes – who has had her own struggles with depression – explains They definitely have a certain approach when trying to relay this message to youth.

 

Hughes is the only Canadian to win medals at both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games.
