Federal grant allows key addition for pool reno

A key item to the renovation at the Aquatic Centre in Nelson is back in the picture.

Jeff Phillips is the Project Manager for the pool renos.

He says a state of the art heat recovery system which was previously taken off the plans will be re-introduced thanks to a large injection of federal gas tax grant funding.

The grant is worth just under $4.6 million.

Phillips says the $500,000 heat recovery system will make the pool a much better and more modern facility.
