A date change for the one-day strike by teachers in the Kootenay Lake district.
The walk-out next week will now be on Wednesday not Thursday as originally announced by the BC Teachers Federation.
Superintendent Jeff Jones has released a statement saying his understanding is there was a miscommunication between the BCTF executive committee and their field services.
So next Wednesday will see Kootenay Lake and Boundary schools closed.
Teachers in the Kootenay Columbia district and Arrow Lakes will stage their one-day strike on Tuesday.
