Officers lift Christmas spirit for two children

It was a memorable Christmas for two young children from Trail.

On Christmas Eve around 10pm, members of Trail RCMP were sent to check on the well being of the children and had to take them into foster care.

Realizing the children would have no presents for Christmas, two officers tried to find gifts but were not successful as most stores had closed.

The officers then contacted the owner of the Trail Canadian Tire store who opened it up allowing the officers to shop.

They returned to the foster home with arms full of Christmas presents.
