Lake search suspended – missing youth may never be found

The bodies of the three youth presumed drowned in Slocan Lake may never be found.

This from RCMP Sergeant Darryl Little with news the search for the presumed victims of a tragic canoeing incident near New Denver has now been suspended.

Little says the RCMP dive team working with local Search and Rescue and a private American search company did as much as they could to search the rocky lake bottom.

A search could resume if any new information comes to light.

A young woman also died soon after the capsizing incident May 10th.
