It looks like the wheels are in motion to getting transit service to Castlegar’s secluded Grandview Heights seniors housing co-op.
Last November City Council asked B-C Transit to look at adding a bus route to the facility.
It was originally hoped to be in service by this Spring.
We asked Mayor Lawrence Chernoff if there is the hope Grandview will get service by the new year.
Chernoff says it’s a matter of scheduling because a new route would affect the entire system.
Council requested the service to Grandview in an effort to get seniors out in the community and make the homes more attractive.
