Boundary expansion admin should be done by August

The administrative process for the City of Trail’s boundary expansion should be complete one way or another by August.

That’s the hope of Mayor Dieter Bogs after the province responded to their proposal to acquire the Columbia Gardens area.

The B.C Government said City Staff now need to send letters asking for the consent of property owners that would be affected.

Bogs explains another priority for them in this process is financial mitigation of current services to the Beaver Valley – which is very much against the expansion.

Trail has already gone through a referral process and shared extension study with any affected stakeholders.
