Consultant recommends tweaks to hotel design at Red

As we await word from the developers of Rossland’s new hotel at Red, the man whose job it is to recommend design elements says it looks a bit stark.

The City’s Consultant Robert Inwood says the architects initially came up with a look that isn’t in keeping with Rossland’s building guidelines there.


Inwood says the initial design is influenced by the original ski lodge which is a bit “blocky” and the horizontal accented windows make it look very modern and urban.

Inwood says he’s talked to the architect and hopes for some tweaks on what he calls a state of-the-art first class structure.
