Trail park to be “renaturized”

An under-used park in Trail could be getting a face-lift.

John Howes, a technician with the city’s  engineering department, says maintenance at Centennial Park is putting a strain on staff.

The city is looking at restoring the park to it’s natural condition.

Plans include planting more trees, adding a trail network and implementing a storm water management system.

The park was provided in 1967 to commemorate the centennial anniversary of Canada’s confederation.
