Is location right for Trail EV chargers?

Trail will be getting new electric car charging stations, but not everyone on city council is on board with them.

Councilor Robert Cacchione was a vocal opponent of the new devices, citing location as his main issue.

Cacchione adds that since the chargers are coming anyway they should be advertised since there is no monitoring system in place to detect how often they’ll be used.

Trail city council moved on Monday to install 3 electric car charging devices outside the Memorial Center.

The equipment is free but the city will pay for installation.
