A wildfire broke out in the Beasley Bluffs west of Nelson this afternoon.
Al Craft with the Beasely Fire Department says the fire was reported around 2:00 pm.
The fire was under a Fortis BC line and power was out in Nelson and surrounding areas until about 6:00 pm.
Highway 3A was closed near the Taghum Bridge and traffic was re-routed via Blewett Road.
The fire has been contained and is being monitored.
