Two Castlegar homes taking part in chicken project

Castlegar’s backyard chicken pilot project is underway.

City councillor Deb McIntosh says two homes have signed up for the program.

There is still room for five more homes to partake in the program.

She says a number of residents expressed interest but couldn’t join.

Some reasons included high costs to get started and family obligations.
