The Kootenay-Columbia School District is set to pass their 2017 budget.
Board chair Teri Ferworn says their budget of almost $45 million will be balanced.
She adds there will be room to add some new staff as per a recent Supreme Court of Canada ruling.
The budget has been given two readings and a third will likely come later today.
