There’s much opportunity for local students to study in Japan, according to Consul General Asako Okai.
She toured West Kootenay last week and gained insight on the Castlegar-Embetsu educational exchange and sister city program.
She says the exchange offers much to Canadian students who want to experience the cultural diversity of Japan.
She also visited Nelson and New Denver.
