Teck spokeswoman Carol Vanelli-Worosz says the company is making a major donation.
Teck’s contribution will cover the cost of the project that’s beyond what taxpayers agreed to borrow.
A section of the facility will be named after Teck.
The official groundbreaking is tomorrow.
