Further progress in Deep Lake wildfire battle

Crews fighting the wildfire at Deep Lake, Washington south of Waneta have made more progress.

The 240 hectare fire’s perimiter is now 80% contained.

Just over 660 personnel are involved in the battle.

All evacuation alerts in the area have been lifted.
