Inclining block rate unfair to rural residents, Popoff says

A local politician thinks people who can’t access natural gas are getting shafted on their power bills.

Slocan Valley regional district director Walter Popoff is responding to a call from the BC Utilities Commission.

They’re asking for comments about the impact of inclining block rates on those customers.

Popoff thinks those folks should get a discount or rebate.
