Fruitvale is one of 31 communities within Interior Health’s jurisdiction to be awarded the service.
Patricia Cecchini says this will boost the area’s health care.
The paramedicine teams with deal with patients to help with more basic primary health care needs, which includes home visits.
Cecchini adds this will improve the quality of life in the community.
A main goal of this program is to keep patients out of emergency rooms for regular health care needs.
