A former Trail Smoke-Eater, Nelson-raised Dryden Hunt, has been named WHL player of the month for January.
Hunt says it’s a great honour.
Hunt has racked up 76 points in 52 games with the Moose Jaw Warriors this season which included 24 points in January to secure the honour.
He has been leaned on as a leader this season on and off the ice.
The Warriors are currently sitting at sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
