Kettle River Watershed review/preview

The 2015 drought produced a unique collective response in the Kettle Valley and it’s an indication of why a Watershed Management Plan is so important.

This from Graham Watt the Coordinator of the initiative for the RDKB.

Watt calls the difficult 2015 a good case study for what can happen in future years with climate change.

We had very little rain and a longer growing season that drained even more water resources.

He’ll be presenting a review of the year and a preview of next steps of the broader plan at the Greenwood MacArthur Centre Wednesday from 6-30 pm.
