Local govt push for marijuana derivatives

A Grand Forks city councillor is delighted that the majority of BC’s municipalities support their call for derivatives to be included in federal medical marijuana laws.

Christine Thompson says the current laws allowing only smokable marijuana are unfair.

She supported this resolution based on the case of a two year old child who is given marijuana oil which reduces her seizures.

Thompson says it would be up to the Feds to regulate the strength of things like oils and cookies.
